ZANON IS KNOWN WORLDWIDE FOR PROVIDING HIGH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS SUCH AS ULTRA HIGH VACUUM COMPONENTS, CRYOSTATS, CRYOMODULES, VACUUM VESSELS, SPECIAL PARTS AND RF CAVITIES FOR SUPERCONDUCTING AND NON-SUPERCONDUCTING APPLICATIONS

ZANON Research & Innovation S.r.l. has been founded in 2020, with SIMIC Spa taking over the business branch «Physics» of Ettore Zanon S.p.a.

ZANON Research & Innovation S.r.l. is part of SIMIC Spa, an Italian company SIMIC with a solid experience in engineering, manufacturing of critical components for Big Science, Research, Fusion Energy, Industry and Oil & Gas and assembly and maintenance of industrial plants. ZANON Research & Innovation S.r.l. is located in Schio, North-East of Italy, 1 hour away from Venice, where the mother company SIMIC has its main workshop and facilities.

HISTORY

100 YEARS, A NEW IDENTITY

1919

Zanon was established by Ettore Zanon, the Founder, in Schio (VI), north East of Italy, where Mr. Zanon, after having worked for local companies where he gathered expertise, decided to start its own business in a small workshop by manufacturing tanks for textile industry.

1990

Zanon manufactured its first Niobium Cavity, a milestone for Zanon, growing in the Physics Research Field. Thanks to this success, Zanon invested in the sector becoming a worldwide known manufacturer of RF Cavities for Superconducting and non-Superconducting applications. The Electron Beam welding plant is installed at Zanon.

1950

In the 50s the first Pressure Equipment were manufactured.

2010

With the award of an important contract for XFEL Project by DESY to manufacture and treat 420 units of the 9 cells 1,3 GHz superconducting cavities for the accelerator of Hamburg, a completely new facility has been installed, including a new workshop, clean rooms and new electron beam plant. Zanon becomes leader and manufacturing and full treatment of cavities.

1970

Zanon started its activity in Research field by working closely with the most important Research Institutes worldwide. Since 50 years, the company has been part of the most important Italian and foreign Research Projects.

2020

The «Physics» Business branch of Ettore Zanon S.p.a. is taken over by SIMIC and a new Company, ZANON Research & Innovation S.r.l., is founded. New perspectives and opportunities for the newco, who takes the advantage of 40 years of experience matured by SIMIC and Ettore Zanon S.P.A. in the Research field.

1980

We operate according to the highest international quality standards. We are in the process of re-certifying Zanon Research & Innovation S.r.l. according to ISO 9001:2015.

We are committed to implementing a Quality System in each manufacturing phase, where the production is followed up, inspected and tested by qualified operators under the supervision of our Quality Manager, to assure that our clients receive the highest quality product and service.

The implementation of the above points is guaranteed by the development of our internal resources, obtained through the adaptation of the infrastructures to the new production requirements and through the training of our personnel.
